Running Calpex under public sewer?

The sewer has head next door so is very close to the surface. It's all clay pipes.

Is there a procedure for this, or is it just a case of filling the gap between the two pipes with plenty of the appropriate granular fill (as you would when laying new pipes)?

Obviously I will be informing building control, but wanted to find out if this is a job for a contractor, or I can do it myself.

As long as the sewer above is adequately protected and supported still, I don't see a problem with whoever doing it.
