We are doing a garage conversion and I need to run a new utilities from the main house to the garage. is it ok to run a water pipe, gas pipe and 10mm SWA electrical cable in the same Trench?

If so are there any specific depths to bury each utility? Spacing between utilities? And do these pipes/cables need to be encased in conduit?

Just to Clarify, I’m only digging the trench and trades people will run the supplies, I just need to plan the best route and figure out if it’s possible to dig down where I want to enter the garage.

Thanks

Andy

Not sure about gas, water and power are ok. SWA doesn't have to be ducted, neither does blue water pipe but for what ducting costs in the scheme of things you might consider it.
Water- your local water board will advise, up here it is 900mm deep, sand bed.
Electric requires identification in the trench and solid protection- did mine by putting 100mm sand, then yellow warning tape, then a layer of bricks of and bits of paving slab, then another warning tape then soil. Talk to your electrician- (s)he will be the one signing the installation off so will determine precisely what needs to be done in your circumstances.

EDIT Stick a duct in for data cables while you're at it- handy for alarm, network, whatever else comes up over the years
