running on cooking oil

i have been reading about this and wonder if anybody out there is running their diesel chugger on spry crisp and dry so to speak i know all about the legal side regarding the payment of tax if it's used as a fuel instead of for cooking, and what will happen if the frying squad stop you because they thought they were following a mobile chippy. anybody care to give a verdict on performance etc?

i have a rover 420td with a diy 2 tank conversion, i drive aboout 3-5miles on diesel until the thermostat is at normal and i then switch to the second tank in the boot-there is not change in note or performance,when sitting in traffic you can smell it but i am quite happy with of my carbon footprint now.
