Running pipework in partition wall...?

I am installing a wash hand basin in my toilet, mounted on the lath and plaster partition wall which is a party wall to the bathroom. I want to avoid visible pipework so am wondering whether it is acceptable/advisable to run the pipework (hot and cold supplies plus waste) *in the gap* within the partition wall. The run would be from the basin in the toilet (on one side of the wall) to the pipework on the back of the vanity unit in the bathroom (on the other side of the wall) - a distance of about a metre. Since I've had to bash out holes in the lath and plaster to fit noggins to fix the basin to anyway, it would - to my untrained eye - seem like quite a neat solution. I'm pretty much new to this game and intend to use 15 millimetre copper pipes with compression joints / 32 millimetre plastic push-fit waste pipes. I would appreciate any advice! Many thanks in advance.

Sounds good to me :)
Joints should be accessible though if poss.
Good luck to you mate ;)

Why not use push fits on the water pipe too. You could also use plastic pipe.

I hope you are going to reinstate the lath and plaster wall, or is this a makeover disaster.
