Hi, I'm trying to change the on/off times on an RWB gas heating time, but all I get is the flashing 12am.

I've printed out and checked instructions but nothing seems to work.
I've pressed the reset button with a pen, slid the switch to 'clock' to set the time, but the time+?/time- buttons do nothing. Nor do any of the buttons, even though I press reset and keep trying again. No option, just the flashing 12am. And no heating!

Can anyone figure out what I'm doing wrong as I'm following the instructions.
Thanks.

Just a diyer here with a hazy memory of owning an rwb7.

I seem to remember that you have to put the slider to 'set time' and press the yes button before it will let you set the time, and similar for the programme. Perhaps the lithium coin cell in the back is dead and needs replacing.

Thanks Moggett. I'm new to this site and although I received notification of a reply I couldn't find it!
Seems I was trying to programme the timer correctly but it was a poor connection or something. Pressing the slider switch in very hard made it jump back to life.

This is likely caused by grime on the metal parts of the switch. It might be worth spraying a fair amount of contact cleaner (servisol or similar) into the switch with the power turned off, and work the switch up and down a few times.

I actually have a new old stock rwb7 still lying around somewhere, but it's so old now that I have no idea if it still works.

Thanks Moggett. I would have tried that, but not my property and I was just trying to help out, so a bit of a panic when I couldn't get the heating back on.
