I wish my 488K (Nu-way) was going as well - if only I could stop it billowing Black Smoke I'd have it nailed!!

The 499K creation that I faff on with used to chuff black smoke, but only on the soft start cycle.....once it switched on to full bore it was ok.
I was able to increase the slow start oil pressure to 100 psi (previously 80) and that sorted it. Full bore run pressure is 140.
I still don't really know how it works - 1 pump, 2 burners, 1 electric fan, 5 solenoids and 1 manifold pressure adjuster - I ask you
Getting the baffles out is a nightmare - they always coke up - and soot production is high, even though set at 11% and smoke level 0.
