Salus RT500 RF for Ferroli Modena 102

Hi,

I have a ferroli Modena 102 with a standard clock but no stat at all, and would like to know if the Salus RT500 RF is suitable for this boiler.
I have the curcuit diagram and understand some electronics but have not worked on a boiler before.

Can anyone tell me if this unit is suitable what is the correct way to wire it?

Reading through various posts I find it a little confusing.

Hi it looks like the Modena needs "voltage free" contacts which the Salus receiver will do OK.

Terminals 1 and 2 in the receiver provide the heating demand switch and need to be wired to the modena boiler terminals 3 and 4 (having also removed the link here).

Hi Jackthorn thanks very much for the speedy reply.

Looking at the schematics for the boiler I assume terminals 3 and 4 are those shown on the far right, and not those in the strip connector?

Also in the schematic the link to be removed I take it is the one shown in fig 21b immediately behind the 72 marked "Voltage Free Switch".

I've ordered the Salus which should be here in a few days. The Moderna is fitted with a time clock should I now remove this? And should I power the Salus from the boiler supply or run a seperate feed for it.
