Samsung N130 and Ubuntu

I have this old (slow) machine running Win XP. Would it be worth blizting XP and installing Ubuntu 18.04, and, if so, what is the best way to do it, I have Ubuntu on a CD. which has worked installing on another machine.

I found Linux Mint more like Windows experience
