I have bought a Sandtoft Calderdale concealed vent tile. It's a plastic tile, and has the adapter attached (siliconed) to the underside, with something like 3" of pipe/ducting protruding underneath. What is the usual method of cutting the felt away for this. I have looked for some installation instructions from Sandtoft, but cannot find any. With other makes, they seem to offer sizes for cutting the felt away, distance from the battens, etc. I have the breathable Tyvek type stuff, or a cheaper version of it.
And is it best to simply cut a hole out large enough to take the attachments underneath, or is the usual practice to cut a diagonal cross and fold the 4 sides back, or something else.
Any advice appreciated on fitting this, thanks!
