SAP Calculations (DIY?)

We live in a 3 bedroom semi built in 2011. I have the original EPC / SAP. In 2013 we also added an orangery 3x4m to the rear. Now we're having a Supalite roof replacement including building regulations submission.

Once that is done - we want to remove the patio doors leading to the 'former orangery'. I've been advised that we need to complete a SAP and pay the council a fee. Is it possible to complete the SAP ourselves based on the original EPC and the Supalite U value information or is it way more complicated than this?

How much are council charging for a certificate? And how much does a SAP calculation cost if it isn't a DIY job!?

Thanks.

Will the same issue not come up when / if we want to move?

Well with all the money you save on fees/certificates, etc. you can probably buy new doors, but obviously it's up to you.

not toos ure if this was resolved, but you will most likely need a calculation, whether thats an excessive glazing calcualtion or a SAP calcualtion. You can read more about that here on my webpage.
Come on Justin, if you are gonna spam the forum at least offer some practical advice and on up to date threads.
