Having looked at leyland and wickes the satinwood paint is not suitable for exterior use - Does this mean I need to use gloss paint?

Can anyone point to satinwood paints at toolstation or screfix or wickes that can be used externally?

No, it means you have to use a paint designed for exterior use, such as Dulux Weathershield or Leyland Trugard. As far as I am aware though, neither of those make a satin finish for outside BUT Johnstone's do, and Little Greene eggshell (the oilbased one) is a nice flat finish.

I think you are going to be unlucky there.
