Hello

Boiler F30e Themaclassic, boiler is not diverting all hot water into hot water pipe, rather its partly going into primary flow pipe, also when c/heating is on hot water is partly coming down hot water pipe

Please note the following points:

boiler makes crackling sound when central heating is switched on, sound is coming from Domestic Heat exhanger

Boiler & C/heating system had sludge in there.

The following has already been done;

changed diverter valve on pump side and valve side (which was knackered)

changed three way valve head motor -(which was knackered with water)

cleaned out sludge from system by flushing continuously at drain offs, and cleaned c/heating filter, strainer and Domestic Heat Exchanger (DHE) , DHE was cleaned with a soak in spirit of salts (32% hydrochloric acid) overnight

tested three way valve head to see if voltage from PCB is providing voltage to motor, it is at 17 V / 234V alternating as you switch on heating / hot water

Any advice really appreciated.

If thats really correct then its odd to get that voltage!

If its the three terminal black 240v motor then it needs 240v to drive it to the appropriate position at which the internal switch goes off and it rests there until a 240v is put on to the other drive terminal. The middle terminal (2) is the neutral.

thanks, it is the thre terminal block

regards readings ive checked the manual and it says

hot water:
"terminal 1 & 2 about 25v ac
teminal 2 & 3 about 230v ac"

heating:
"terminal 1 & 2 about 230v ac
teminal 2 & 3 about 25v ac"

as i said above i get 17v ac so i dont know if this could mean that the shaft on motor head is not getting enough power, but on testing the shaft is moving out, dropping in with a flat screwdriver push though.
