I'm about to tile a concrete floor in a new extension. It's got a concrete floor, rough, not machined smooth. (It's been finished about a year, but it's actually never been tiled on yet, so still bare concrete.)
I can't find a definitive answer for whether I should prime the concrete or not before putting down tile adhesive.

I've got some Everbuild 503 SBR left from an outside paving project, and I've seen SBR mentioned as a primer in bits of information I've found online, but I don't know if I'd use it neat, or dilute, or mixed with cement powder etc if I used it.

Could someone please advise? Thanks!

Covering a surface in SBR or PVA is to change a high suction background into a low suction background. That's to stop the background sucking the moisture out of the adhesive, plaster etc.. before it sets. Concrete is usually low suction and doesn't need SBR etc.. but with new concrete, either brush 50:50 SBR water mix or a concrete dustproofer/sealer.
