Hi,

We are likely to face issues with access to neighbours land for an extension which needs to be rendered, we are looking at now moving back to leave enough room for scaffold rather than go down this road only to be prevented.

Whats is the minimum width required from the boundary to the wall to be able to fit scaffold and allow work to proceed safely?

Thanks,
Shaun

900mm would be my guess, although it might be determined by some scaffold safe working guidelines

as above.
boards must be inside 250max distance from wall - close as practicle.
min platform width is 4 x 225mm boards - 900mm.
platforms with traffic go 5 boards

1m is a lot to give up just to be able to render it.

Considering it is the wall your neighbour will be looking at, wouldn't they rather see a nicely rendered wall rather than an unfinished one?

What price would you put on having that extra metre in your house? Could be worth suggesting to the neighbour you will pay them, I dunno, £1,000, £2,000, £10,000, whatever it takes, to have access to their land whilst you render the wall they will be looking at.
