Scantronic 9448+ how do I switch off permanently?

We have a Scantronic 9448+ that we inherited when we moved to our current property many years ago. We have never set it in that time, but on the odd occasion there is a powercut/trip it sounds either inside or out in the common landing (doesn't seem consistent with what it does tbh - battery needs replaced both inside and out?) which is a total pain.

Is it possible to switch the thing off completely, but still have the sounder box flash red/green to retain the illusion we have a working alarm??

Short answer No.
It's either On or Off
If batteries are faulty then replace them or total power down.

Total pain to replace the battery ? Open panel put code in , swop battery ….close panel ….enter code to reset …all done …now it won’t go off in a power cut …..repeat every 5 years…

It's a Total pain when you get that call .My alarms going off can you stop it.
Never had it looked at for years but Want it sorting Now!!!!!.
