I have fitted a new battery, but the fault light on the control panel is still lit. No other codes are displayed. How do I turn it off?

Have you entered code number and pressed clear ?
Try and set and unset set alarm
Last resort total power down control panel then 're apply power mains first then connect battery.

Hello Handymanjo,

Tried all those and not worked. Disconnected mains and connected battery which got rid of all the codes but left the fault light on. What would happen it just turned off mains and then turn back on without touching battery?

Should power up and respond to your code and display BY in display(battery fault )

This is what I did:
Disconnected battery
Mains off
Counted 10 very slowly
Mains back on
Reconnected battery
Shut lid

Should I have turned mains back on after shutting lid?

What you did is correct
Where did you get the new battery, could have been on shelf for a while and could be flat ?

Battery is fully charged. Went through again what I'd done before with reconnecting battery with mains off then turning back on and fault light is still on.
