Scotia fixing

Quite honestly I have had one of the most frustrating days of my DIY life

. I have been trying to fix 25mm Scotia around a conservatory over an Oak floor. I have to fix most of the Scotia onto brick.
I have tried using "instant grab

" (Laybond GripFill Max) glue, but the trim will not hold.
Are there any kind of clips I could use or what adhesive is recommended?
