Screed a wall with tile adheisive before tiling?

I have removed old tiles from a bathroom wall but the underlying old stone wall is not flat. Could I screed the wall with tile adheisive, scratch lines in to the surface before it’s dry. Then tile onto the next day?

Cant help as I have a similar problem! but rather than start a new thread I thought I would add to this if thats OK NathanIfans?

I have pulled tiles off a kitchen wall (splashback) and some of the plaster has come away and is not so level and need to know the best way to level if before re tiling

Just to let you know sakm, I ended up leveling out with tile adheisive, worked no problem

Cheaper to use bonding plaster.
