3 parts sharp sand, ( screed sand, concrete sand, coarse grit sand)

to 1 part cement.

the trick is to only add enough water to bind the mix together when squeezed in your hand.

I used 1 part Portland cement to 3 parts sharp sand. Worked a treat so far.

I've got my mix off to a fine art now :D.

Oh and by the way, it helps if you have a cement mixer to do all that hard work for you:cool:.

2nd question.. how long should it take to go off and be able to be stood on.

you can walk on it in 24hrs, but if you can keep off it for a weekend it won't scuff as badly.
