I am trying to replace some kitchen door hinges with blum hinges.

The kitchen door cabinets have predrilled 5mm holes where the previous hinges were but they had some sort of plastic inserts. I remove these as they were not the right fit for the blum ones and got these 6mm screws from Screwfix that fit perfectly in the pre-drilled holes but they do not go through the blum holes as they are two wide.

I look for some blum dowels but they say they are 8mm. Would these fit in a 5mm pre-drilled hole in the cabinet.

How do you screw these in place? I am puzzled.
