Hi,
What are the screws for standard interior door hinges?
There is some mystery surrounding these screws.
Cannot find the information.

I use stainless to match sometimes but its very brittle metal so go careful.
These are standard screws however, some hinges require smaller heads. All depends. There is no one size.

You can also use longer screw

I doubt there is a standard door hinge! Many varieties and types , multiply that by all the different woods used to make up door frames and multiply it again by all the different sizes and weights of doors.

You really need an informed or experienced choice for every combination - and often the screws they come with are totally unsuitable and sometimes made of cheese.

Rather than vilifying you for your crap post, what would help is if you say what are the frames made of, what are the doors made of, what are the hinge types? Then you might get somewhere.

This is a standard wooden frame and door, nothing fancy.
This is the 3x2 hinge and the existing 25mm screws but what screws are these I have no idea and people at Screwfix didn't know either.
I end up buying the hinge screws but this turned out it's not for doors but things like kitchen cabinets. These have a different thread like the wooden screws.

@big-all Does it mean these are some old-school / vintage screws and I should use the new ones instead?

not an exact science but measure the screw heads then half it then this will tell you the approximate screw size hopefully its 8mm[halved to 4mm] so when you get the fully threaded screws they will fully grip ----newer screws will grip better as more thread and no taper but what ever you do stop 2 threads short then hand tighten to avoid stripping the wood

Y always drill a pilot for stainless, but I find for most ordinary hinges I ditch the supplied screws and just use Riessers of an appropriate size wound in with the knocky-knock (impact driver). If the hinges are stainless, I use the supplied screws with care. If they are decorative chrome or brass hinges then again I use what is supplied with care, because they are usually fairly carp metal.

There is no standard - use what works and looks OK
