Do I use silicone to seal a kitchen sink into a worktop or can I just use the sealing strip that comes with it?

It was designed for the sealing strip that comes with it, however silicone will work and is generally considered suitable for the purpose. Its just that it can be a bit messy if you havent mastered the art of using the gun

i use to use silicone for wastes...now i favour plumbers mait..
it is sometimes messy but if you get a leak u can normally just tighten it up a bid more and its sorted....however with silicone, whens gone off ur buggered if u want to tighten it some more

make shure all surfaces not protected [cut edges ect]are fully sealed to protect them especial near a sink  you can use your silicon for this purpouse
