Sealant for beading for wooden frames.

Putting new beadings around windows, what is the best sealant to use .
l intend to put the sealant behind and under the beading before putting the beading onto the glass and frame to give a watertight fit.
Is there a sealant to hold the beading in place or will it require glazing pins also.

You can use clear glazing sealant, but pin as well to prevent movement when door gets slammed.
