sprayed foam insulation has,apparently been applied (about 10 years ago) to the underside of the roof tiles on the house we are about to buy. we have been told this can cause damp in the roof timbers and wonder the best way to get some ventilation up there,short of re-roofing.

is the foam shoite pretty well stuck fast?
i believe it is,why? do you think we can take it off?
probably not. 
this stuff that they (criminals, vandals) apply to peoples roof's is last stop saloon stuff.
only way out is to strip and re-tile.

money too tight to mention.will vent tiles do a holding operation until funds allow a re-roof? p.s.is shoite a technical builders term ?
