Sealing driveway block paving

After pressure washing 200x100 block paving, is it wise to add cement to the paving sand that you brush into the gaps?

The driveway was laid back in '92 so no geotextile was laid underneath to impede weed growth.

From what you say, I presume the MO is brush the paving sand in and leave it at that?
 
Yes. And run around with the Weedol once a year.

Its flexible paving and it will move, so rigid joints are pointless and do nothing

If I ever lay a block paved drive myself, I'll lay geotextile underneath.
