Anyone aware of a way to treat wood to stop it absorbing moisture?
I'm building a cupboard for drying clothes in and dont want my 4x2 ripping the house apart ( fixed to joist below and reinforced concrete above ).
I've left an expansion gap to be safe, but i really cant trust modern timber and i've previously seen a 3cm strip of ply give a heavy hit to a breeze wall, and knock a layer of bricks off a normal wall (bodged pipe boxing).
waterseal and paint anyone or is there better?
