can someone please direct me to the option for asking a question of the forum??
i have been defining my search to say-- folding and doors and external---
then receiving around 267 matches which dont all have the relevant words in!
once again apologies for placement of question-- couldnt find another option.

you can also select which "section" to search, so for a door question it would be doors and windows

i have selected which section to search ie. the windows and doors section.
my questions still stand???

as previously mentioned the searches i am making are not defining the search properly!
am i wording the search correctly by putting 'and' between the words, because it still throws up a lot of topics which dont have the relevant search words within.

I see what you mean now, sorry, I do not know the answer to that one, however I will ask on your behalf.

The answer is that it is searching the whole of the topic, not just the title. I have asked can this be amended

email went 4 minutes ago, but it may be some time.....................

having read your reply again it seems we might be on cross purposes.
i dont want to search the title but the words within the responses or original question.
if you make a search for 'folding and door and external' you will find that many of the topics listed may not include anywhere within the above 3 words.but maybe only 1 or 2 and sometimes 3.
i thought the search options were meant to weed out topics that might not be relevant, and therefore show only the topics with all 3 words within the topic.
hope thats a bit clearer.
hope you can help.

I have found similar problems when searching, it might have something todo with people going off topic. Unfutunatly its not like doing a Google search..Pity..
