Hi all,

I have a 2002 Seat Leon and have recently had to have a new speedo head fitted. Since having this replaced my keys are no longer starting the car. I have been informed I need to get the 4 digit emergency key code for the vehicle. I cannot find this anywhere!!!! Does anyone have any idea of any other way I can retrieve this number without having to pay seat a fortune???

Any comments would be fab!

Seat/VW require an SKU code to program the dash with the new immobiliser code, dealer only for the code I think.

The immobilzer is part of the dash unit so it has to be coded to the ECU using the SKU as KingboyD states.

VAG used to give these codes out if you could prove ownership now their new system connects direct to Germany and no-one ever sees the code.

There is software available to get the code, either VAG Commander or VAG TAcho can do this, Commander is mega bucks and VAG Tacho aint that cheap either, probably not worth it for this one task.

You should try looking for a VAG specialist in your area, some will have the dealer kit to program the dash. Inde-tech in Milton Keynes can do it if you are near there. Will have to get your car trailed though.

a decent auto locksmith may also have the correct software to do this for you aswell.
