I can't imagine vacuums feature much on this type of forum but I'll try my luck. The Sebo I have is an 11 yr old X1. After finishing the hall the other day, I moved to the kitchen and plugged it in. Nothing happened bar the flashing of two red lights - one warns of a clogged/worn roller the other of a clogged/full bag.

I cleaned and checked everything as far as possible. The only difference now is that the red lights flicker just once at switch on then go out. The power supply/fuse is fine.

Can anyone suggest the cause and maybe a cure?

Thanks in advance.

I'd let it RIP. It must have earned its keep after 11 years. I'm sure the local dump will recycle it for you.

You're right, I know. Just curious why it died between hall and kitchen...

Could be a worn power cable where it enters the unit, especially at that age.
