Hi everyone
We have an Edwardian house with original sash windows. We don't open them much as we live in London!. Part of the house has secondary double glazing in the form of lift out panes of glass which fit in a white metal frame around the windows. We can then remove them in summer.
Edit - I think these are called lift out panels
My question is, is it worth me getting the same for the rest of the house or is there a better way of reducing heat loss? I'm presuming that this method is relatively cheap (compared to say new windows!).
There is also a door to the garden with windows either side which it would not be possible to double glaze and I wondered if there is anything that cane be done about this, short of replacing it.
Any advice most welcome!
