Hi I'm not sure which category to put this but I've just been burgled and need a good pir flood light ,I used to have a halogen one but the bulbs kept blowing too often ,I've been looking at some on eBay that are led ones but I've not a clue if they would be bright enough to be light up my garden ,any advise welcomed thanks

not a chance. stick with halogen and be careful when installing bulb use gloves, would recommend a gjd lighting system, not cheap but very good or clipsal infrascan pir again not cheap but never had a problems with these units.
clean gloves, any dirt, grease or contamination on the glass shortens the life of the lamp. Even the grease from clean fingers is enough to start the deterioration of the glass.
