Hi.i have 4 security lights fitted at my house.2 are fitted with pir sensors and other 2 have are controlled by stand alone pir sensor.
I am thinking fitting dusk to dawn pir so lights can switch on at dusk and go off at morning time.how to go about this change and what type of pir sensor i would need.

I used a Steinel nightmatic photocell after previous issues with cheaper versions off eBay.

Lights on at dusk, turn off at 9:45pm and then back on at 4:15am until 8am

The cheaper ones don’t have the timer adjustment and the others I tried were very hit and miss.

Photocells are not PIRs. They are different things.

PIRs usually have photocells embedded in them so that the PIR detector only operates at night time.

if you just want
so lights can switch on at dusk and go off at morning time
You just need to buy a stand alone dusk to dawn photocell. Make sure that the two lights that have PIRs can be used just as regular lights without the PIR function.
