Recently attended a conference at a hotel, in a large hall. The lighting chandeliers were fitted with what appeared to be normal clear candle lamps. But when they were dimmed for a projected presentation, I could see that each candle lamp had a square looking frosted capsule inside it. I can only assume they are LEDs. Anyone seen these? They looked very nice and threw out a lot of light (though there were 10-15 on each chandelier).

Could be dimmable LEDs, but I would have thought more likely these halogen capsule lamps which will work with a standard dimmer whereas LEDs usually require a special type....

The OP sounds a lot like me: a presentation starts to roll and I'm sitting there gazing at the furniture and light fittings instead!
According to that datasheet they recomend maximum 4 lamps on a 300w dimmer
