I know that they are trade only, but how much attention & checks do they do if you go in with headed company paper, it's just that I'm building a new shed but money is really tight & they are a fair bit cheaper than a general DIY place?

they couldn't care less what you do for a living. it's very obvious that many of the people in there are public, but watch the prices - and remember it's all plus VAT.

Well I did a home made headed letter & got my membership card, what a doddle & found out they do 4x2 2.4 meter lengths for £3.94 inc VAT where as the cheapest timber yard near me is £7.20 inc VAT, so not to bad for me if I only use it for the 4x2 for my shed.
