Hi.

I am part way through a self build conservatory. I have 900mm high dwarf walls which have an outer concrete solid block construction with a 75mm cavity and then thermalite blocks on the inside.

I am just about to buy some thermal cavity closers from Screfix but my question is if I am using thermalites blocks should I still fill the cavity with insulation ie something like kingspan?

The conservatoy kit is being delivered in the next week or two so I am preparing the site. I also have a swimming pool on the concrete sub floor at least the DPC is working!

Thanks

All the heat is going up and out the glass, and out the roof. So insulating is a waste of time and money.

I would not bother with cavity closers either - just return the blocks
