I've spent this afternoon self levelling my extension floor, a combination of a couple of isolated dips in the concrete slab I poured 2 years ago (not having screed) and where new and old floors marry up. I'm happy with the result and I'm now within my +/-3mm tollerance over a 2m straight edge that I apparently need for tiling.
Anyway, like I say I've not self levelled the whole 30m2 floor, I've just done the odd section, and feathered the edges out with a wet trowel and brush. But is this generally considered a bit of a bodge? and normally would people skim the whole area over with more SLC to give a uniform surface?
I guess I always try and judge myself on what a client would think if I was doing it for a client, and can see that raising eyebrows if they came home from work and saw odd patches of SLC. For me, I'm totally happy with the patchwork look until the tiles go down.
Possibly overthinking, but thoughts of pro's and DIY'ers appreciated. Cheers(y)

I suppose if it’s all level apart from a few low bits, then how can you do the whole floor?

I’d think it’ll be fine doing the low bits, you’re tiling it anyway, so you won’t see it.

By going over the whole lot with more SLC, even though it’s already level, to give a uniform look, hide the joins of new to old, etc.

Come and look at the white patches of joint filler filling dips in the pink plaster on most of my walls. Oh no you can't it's all covered.
