selfmade paint for garden fence & shed?

hello,

we are in the middle of our refurbishment and are about to paint the garden fence and shed.

we picked a colour to paint the kitchen and the kitchen window is facing the garden. the colour is a custom mixed green shade, and I thought it would be lovely to have the same colour for the garden fence and shed.

unfortunately, as it looks there is no service available, to mix a custom colour for outdoor wood painting.

I mixed the custom mixed colour together with some translucent wooden garden furniture protection. both is water-based and it worked out really well.

did anybody ever try this before and the big question will it last the weather?

If its water based, wont it wash off in the rain? Im not expert but might be a good idea to go over it in a clear oil based paint. Someone will be along soon to give the correct answer, proberly

No, I would try to use your own paint mix. It won't last the weathering.

You can get exterior wood paint mixed to any colour you want at any b&q, dulux paint centre, etc.

Personally I think the johnstones exterior paint is second to none and my local centre is much better at getting a colour match that the staff at b&q
