Selling a car that's been in storage for a year

Hello all.
I'm likely to inherit a car that's been in storage for a year.
It's a Honda jazz hybrid 23 plate.annoying thing is it's been neglected.
I am expecting the 12v service battery is ruined
The tyres flat and ruined
Hand brake seized on.

Would it be worth my while to spend money on getting the car repaired and road worthy before selling it to a dealer ?
I am not familiar with hybrid cars and not sure if the large battery will have deteriorated sitting there for a year.

Only thing you can do is get a quote for repair, Its a very popular car so It is worth doing. Failing that advertise it warts and all on ebay specifying all known faults but that its a bit of an unknown and see where the auction goes.
If it started, drove and ran you would be in a much better position.

Pity you are all the way up in Tyne & Wear as I'd be interest in a bid on a Jazz even if somewhat neglected. The Jazz's reputation sells itself.

A years not a long time especially if it’s been in storage. Charge the battery, pump up the tyres, possibly some fresh fuel and take it from there.

The battery might be mullered, but until a charge is tried, can't be certain.
Tyres could be okay after a good and slight overinflation
Seized brakes will usually release after a hefty whack or three with a club hammer.

I wish someone would give me a Jazz hybrid......!
You may be pleasantly surprised! I don't know if these cars use a separate 12v battery or simply draw from the propulsion battery but the thing is to get it going. Maybe Newcastle Garage Services in Brunswick could advise, if Vertu Honda prices make your eyes water!

Yes it's got a 12v battery but no idea what it's used for - possibly the starter ?
. I tried Vertu motors but they won't give me any advice and want to charge me £££s to service it .. typical haha..
I'll see when I get the chance to look at it.

Or call out a mobile mechanic for 1 hours labour to pump up the tyres and give the car a jump start and 'look over'.

The 12 volt battery, may recover, but can you afford the time? I had a battery stuck in a caravan for a year due to COVID, I had to put it in parallel with a charged battery to get the smart charger to work, it took around 11 days, and then it started to charge, as if someone had flicked a switch, the battery seemed to then be OK, but the caravan was not, and had to be scrapped.
