Basically I would like to instal sensor sensitive under cabinet lighting in my kitchen that comes on when I enter it.
Is this a generally expensive job?

I need 4 lights due to the layout of my kitchen but Googling doesn't seem to throw much up unless I'm missing something?

Is there an instal 'kit' anyone can recommend for an basic DIY'er that will allow me to acheive this?

Thanks as usual

There are sensor wall switches which will turn on your lights, switch would need to be located where you might pass or stand in front to to trigger. Some are limited in the type of bulb they will operate.
Kitchen should require an electrician under the part 'P' rules to install.
Or you could install sensor in the ceiling which would have a wider sensor range.

You could get more results posting in the electrical section [and certainly more abuse ]
