Hi,
I've been having my clio serviced at a local (non dealer) garage Kwick-fit type place called Tanvic. Should I expect them to carry out the manufactureres standard servicing, or is that expecting to much.
eg, Renault state cam belt to be changed at 5 years, so should these guys have done it as part of the 5 year servive.
The reason I ask is, guess what snapped yesterday, bending 7 of the 8 valves 6 months after the 5 year service.

When I service cars I follow the Autodata servicing recomendations, normally the service book suppliied with the car a generally too vague. The "garage" should have mentioned that the belt needed replacing, but I think you should have checked that they did all the jobs they where supposed to do. I should go and give them some ear ache and see what happens.
regards johnwr
