Suzuki Alto Malfunction Indicatot Light

S

Shutpa

Manual states that waring light indicates that the computer-controlled emission control system requires servicing. However, it also states that if the light stays on when the engine is running (it does), there is a problem with the emission control system and that the car should be taken to the Suzuki dealer. Since the nearest dealer is 40 miles away, does anyone have any idea of what the problem could be and whether a local non-Suzuki garage could tackle it? The car is 4 years old.

You should be able to get any local garage with a fault code reader to read the stored fault codes to see what the problem is.

Cheers for that Spark123. Will try tomorrow. Have you any idea what the fault may be?

Could be anything tbh, without looking I'd suspect there will be hundreds if not thousands of different fault codes to go at.
Hopefully will just be a case of them obtaining the fault code from the car and looking it up on a computer to see what it means.

Thanks for the info guys. Called in the AA and the guy confirmed that it was indeed the Lambda sensor.
