Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me.
Did a wash yesterday everything was fine. Have loaded up the machine today with hubby's chef whites, so its only half a load. Plugged in and nothing. The power light wont come on. Have checked the door and it seems to be shutting normaly, nothing blocking it. Have changed the fuse with the kettle, and the fuse from the washer is working fine. Have plugged it into a different socket, but it still isn't working has anyone got any ideas of what it might be, and how much to fix it.

Think there's too may things that can cause this to give any help.
You need to start checking with a meter from where the cable enters the machine, throgh the mains filter, door interlock, on/off switch etc etc etc.
Sorry, can't be of much help on this one.

Thanks anyway, its 3 years old so i will probably just buy a new one.

Something to consider.

Miele circa £700. Look around for 10 year warranty = £70 a year

Siemens circa £450, 5 year warranty = £90 a year

ISE circa £450, 5 year warranty = £90 a year

Indesit circa £200, 1 year warranty = £200 a year

Servis circa £200, 1 year warranty = £200 a year

In terms of lasting, miele I'd expect 15 to 20 years, giving £35 a year at best £50 at worst.
Siemens around 10 years giving £45 a year at best £60 at worst.
ISE is new to the market so can't comment. Price is estimated.
Indesit 18 months if your lucky giving £135 a year (approx)
Servis 18 months to 2 years if your lucky. giving £115 a year (approx)
