servis M6006W faulty washing machine

Servis m6006w-1 model.
When programme is selected and start button is pressed, the machine sounds like it has commenced that programme. However after returning to the machine and expecting the wash to have been completed, i find dry/partially soaked clothes. I have had the back panel off the machine and can see that the belt is intact. any ideas?
