Twice we have had water board out to clear/rod a blockage of the sewage pipe that runs along side our property, when the cover was removed from the inspection pit i saw other pipes and waste coming from my other neighbours houses whom we suspect have been causing the blockage probs. Question, where do we obtain plans to show exactly whos pipes run into the inspection pit as it seems we are at the end of a run? If it matters we are the end on a block of 3 terraced houses, built circa 1975. Thanks, from a disgruntled old pensioner!!

Because it’s a shared drain think yourself lucky the water board are cleaning it out for nothing.

We have a similar problem and I cured it by putting a polite note through the houses up stream from us and the problem hasn’t repeated itself

Water Company will hold the plans for the Drainage system, but don't expect every last small private run to be on there. The bigger lines will be mapped, (not necessarily very accurately though.)

If you're the 'end of the run' then I'd say whichever direction the incoming pipes are from would indicate which house they serve. As above, a polite request to all the neighbours to be mindful of what they put down the drains would be a start, but it could also indicate a fault with the drain rather than misuse. Keep getting the Water Co. out to clear it, they might CCTV the run if it keep happening to see if there's any issues.
