Ok now this is not your ordinary building problem. It may well be a DIY disaster except it wasn't DIY! Basically got a problem at a community building where the sewage waste pipe leaked unnoticed for some time in the ground floor. Result is when the carpet was taken up all the chipboard showns signs of seepage.

The leak has been fixed and thats all sorted but i need some clarification from a health and safety point of view whats the next steps. The floor all needs to be ripped out and replaced. Underneath the chipboard is a concrete floor, i am guessing this would need cleaning with some form of chemical disinfectant.

Any advice on the steps to take and what should be used who to use??

Ordinary disinfectant- Jeyes Fluid- If you don`t mind the smell  Cheaper in a big can.

Any ideas which disinfectant and from where I can buy from. There is a large area to do.

Also best way of applying? I was thinking of using a pressurised sprayer so would prefer a disinfectant that doesnt need diluting.
