Hi everyone I have a Small shabby concrete path in my garden where i come out of my back door and go onto my decking. Now what I am wanting to do is pave this area. Is it best to break all the concrete up then put my paving down or pave straight on the concrete?
And how do i do it dry mix or wet mix.
I have a toddler and need to do this asap before an accident happens so i was thinking of just buying some cheap paving slabs from b & Q
Please help

if the path is at the right level and sound then you could pave over it. youll need to clean it off first and use a wet mix to bed the slabs.

The definition of shabby ? Like Thermo said if the base is sound then you can pave over. If it's cracked and broken or even slightly cracked get rid of the concrete, compact in a good sub-grade and pave over it.
