mondeo shakes at the rear when im on the motorway at 70mph but if i go a bit faster it stops. ive recently had the bushes changed in the back and the tyres balanced so what could it be.

One or more of the tyres is still out of balance. Go back and ask them to distribute the weights differently.

It's more likely to be a tyre with a bulge or a flat spot.
Only real way to see is jack it up, spin the tyre and look at it from the front or back and see if it appears to move sideways / up and down

I can't agree with you ^neo^ - I've never seen a bulge or flat that causes a vibration that disappears at some speeds.
