I have a mondeo on a 51plate and everytime i go over a bump the rear driver side makes a sort of rattling/banging noise. Think it could be suspension, anyone have any ideas what it could be? thanks

could be the rear subframe mounts, a common failure.

also could be the tailgate rattling on the bump rubbers. there was updated rubbers available to cure this, part of a ford tsb (technical service bulletin)

check the spare tyre pressure first. My avensis started doing it the other week - found out that the TP was down and it allowed the wheel to rattle against the retaining bolt when chucking it round lefthanders.
Wheel is centrally mounted but sound came from offside rear.
