Morning guys.
Was wondering if im allowed to build a cavity wall on the boundry of mine and neigbours wall.

Both of our houses are semi detached, I propose to do a single storey side extension to my house and was wondering if i'd be allowed to build the wall on the boundry so that one leaf is on his side and the other is on my side. That way when he wishes to extend he could use this wall too.

Apart from the PW agreement, you would also need to sort out the property side of things and get the ownership details and agreement to build on the neighbours land registered on the property deeds, and also you will need specific permission to build over the boundary if planning permission is otherwise required for the extension work.

What you don't want is the current or future owner disputing the wall being built on his land at some future time
