not sure if I am in the right place, but I am enquiring on behalf of a friend. she lives in Cumbria and wants to move down to Derbyshire. she has her own house but it isn't a lot of money, she will be lucky to get £60,000 for it. unfortunately there isn't much to chose from in Derbyshire so she is finding it hard. she doesn't have any savings and she is retired. can someone explain to me how and if she can apply for shared ownership if she has cash from her current house with no savings? thank you

All the Londoners are heading for Derbyshire in the 'white flight'. She's better off in Cumbria.

'white flight'? she hates living where she is. would she entitled to share ownership as a cash buyer

why not consider a mobile home,resident park home, they are at that price range,and ground rent is normally cheap.

we are currently looking at this too, but she has cats and not all will accept them, plus its money and being able to afford it
